smiley's pet finches, hansel & gretel. he chose the names. cute, huh? :-)

that's hansel.

these creatures are so hard to photograph! my finger actually went numb (courtesy of carpel tunnel syndrome from when i was pregnant with smiley) on the shutter button while i was waiting for them to sit still just long enough to get a good shot.

Aww we used to keep Zebra Finches (careful now, they like to breed, we started with 2 pairs and ended up with about 30 birds) I love the little 'beep' noises they make.
