a friend of mine lived here back around when you took this photo, and it still pretty much looks like this.

i think as long as i can remember it has always always looked like this!
there is a black and white photo way back. and yes it is always a hard one to photograph well, as the shadows on the porch are a constant....
      and thanks

I always pictured this as the house Ann Rice used in her books. Her was always too nice to be the home of vampires and witches!

I really have to come to New Orleans at some point. I love the architecture. Reminds me of Savannah so much... And I love savannah - my very fave city in US...

yep. understated and beautiful. you really know how to bring out a sense of place and a sense of objectivity. these photos don't look like a manipulation of a place, they look like the place itself.

      Nice photo!
This house is the embodiment of NOLA beauty!

Always wanted to photo this place. The constant cars parked in front would ruin the shot. Someday, maybe.

Wow. I absolutely LOVE this house! Fantastic architecture, and the attention to detail is superb.

I lived in that house 1991. It's the Vampire Lestat house. Also, a scene from Angel Heart was filmed inside and I recall a car commercial a few years ago. . .
