 
Cheese Scones
It was raining this morning so my wife and three year old daughter couldn't go out and about. So they did some cooking with our little girl keen to make some scones, cheese ones "...because those are the ones Daddy likes."
Mummy helped weigh out the ingredients and the little one mixed everything together. Afterwards she used the "round thing" to cut out the individual scones, then placed them carefully on the baking tray. Mummy popped them in the oven and through the window in the oven our little daughter laughed with delight as she watched them cook and fill the whole home with a wonderful aroma.
Needless to say Daddy had one after they came out of the oven. Perfect with a nice cup of coffee, he thought they were yummy in his tummy.

Autumn Glory
Each morning when we open our bedroom curtain these two trees dominate the view. In winter they have no leaves and throughout the spring and summer they have beautiful green leaves. But as autumn has progressed their blazing glory has simply become more and more stunning.
I took this image a few days ago, as the sun was appearing over the houses in the morning. The leaves are a myriad of colours: reds, yellows, browns and a few greens. Sad to say the winds since this image was taken have blown most of the leaves away, but thanks to modern photography I have this image to remind me of their fleeting beauty.

HDR image: 5D Canon, mounted on sturdy Manfrotto 055CB Professional tripod and shutter release used. Image produced using three exposures. Processed in Photomatix Pro & Photoshop CS3, using an A3 Wacom graphics tablet.

Yellow Beauty
Image taken with natural light. We found this beautiful yellow flower growing in the hedges when we went for a walk this evening. The background has been tidied up but everything else is perfectly natural.
Note: Apparently this flower is a "Japanese Rose" (Kerria japonica Pleniflora). Also commonly known as "Jew's Mallow" and "Kerria." For further information please see this web page:
