Anniversary Decorations (HDR)

The early evening sun is streaming through the window creating a high contrast scene. Our children have just left the room and gone to their beds, filled with excitement because tomorrow is our wedding anniversary day, a time when we give presents and have lots of fun together. Until then the brightly coloured balloons and lovingly wrapped presents wait patiently for the mayhem to begin...

HDR image: 5D Canon, mounted on a Manfrotto 055CB tripod and shutter release used. Image produced using five exposures. Processed in Photomatix Pro, Lightroom 2.3 & Photoshop CS3.

Harnham Mill Sunrise

Old Mill Hotel at Harnham in Salisbury, Wiltshire - this image was taken in the morning at around 5.00am just as the sun was rising. This is the best time of the day, with everything so still and calm. Even the ducks were missing and only the sound of the running water peirced the silence. I love the way the sun shining through the tree produces the rays like this.

Note: image taken using Canon 5D DSLR camera, Manfrotto tripod and cable release. Subsequent RAW image processed using Lightroom 2.0 and Photoshop CS3.

Old Mill Hotel

Old Mill Hotel at Harnham in Salisbury, Wiltshire - taken during the Spring of 2009. The area around the Old Mill Hotel has remained largely the same ever since I can remember. If you ever find yourself in Salisbury take a walk across the Town Path from the town centre and visit this little jewel in Salisbury's crown. And remember to bring something for the ducks.
