naw orville.. that won't fly.

naw orville.. that won't fly. by fast boy.
easily the stupidest thing I've ever done on the xtra. It felt a little like trying to drive a fishing pole with a raw egg (?). The front wheel was really hardly touching..

That's priceless. With Lowe's just down the street, it's amusing and sometimes scary to see the different ways people try to get their stuff home.

naw....the stupidest thing woulda been you strapping the boards on the other way, e. ;)

not sure why you didn't buy a few bags of potting soil for the handle bars to keep her balanced.

Hilarious. Love the title. You should have bought another plant at the same time, preferably something big and frilly. With that on the handlebars you would have been all set.

hehe..this is fantastic! Reminds me of all the stupid things I've tried to carry on my bicycle or scoot but have been too embarrassed to take documentary pictures of once I reached my destination... (embarrassed, exhausted...relieved)

So, what'cha building big guy? :)

Yeah, Pensive.. I definitely use this thing as a Pick-up truck.. carry ANYTHING. This was the first time that it felt REALLY dumb, though. I've had much much more weight on it.. I mean this was nothing.. Distribution was the problem. and yes, I was very relieved to get home.

The 2x4s were for a new work bench in my shop.. Getting set up to turn out fenders.

Distribution is always the problem, in my experience....I've carried some ridiculous combination of things on both my two-wheeled rides, and often the sudden shift of weight is what gets me intro trouble.... but who am I kidding? 4 2x4's still beats anything I've tried, hands down.

But.....wow. Those fenders you make are simply gorgeous! Truly beautiful.

that was a bit freaky, it time like these that you wish it's a good idea to have a basket in the front so you can add some brick just to get a small amount of grip.

you know what I realise? you could take the seatpost out, removed the saddle off the seatpost, and duct tape the saddle on the wood (after you move it forward a bit more, you notice how the height of the wood is identical to the saddle.
