It's actually in Leland. The Homestead is on the other side of that point (Pyramid Point).

It all comes back to me, too. I spent lots of winters up there as a kid -- probably stood on that very beach at some point. Surely one of the most beautiful and serene places in our wonderful country.

It was probably about 0 degrees, shqipo. I have this special hat that renders me pretty much impervious to cold though.

Also, this photo appears on The Leelanau Almanac for January 25-31, 2007.

Also also, this photo is the 2,222nd photo matching "leelanau" on Flickr. If that's not a textbook granfalloon, I don't know what is! ;)
