Lake Superior shoreline of sandstone and sand. The Mosquito River is at the bend at the center. Lots of sand and rock and driftwood there too. Portal Arch (lover's leap?) at the far end, Caves of the Bloody Chiefs a bit closer, Indianhead behind.
This hike was the best I have ever taken. What a fun, fun day. (despite the fact that I may have lost my 1/2 gig camera card somewhere along the way) :(

Thanks everyone and thank you
- it's one of Michigan's most amazing spots.
I can't stress it enough - hike the Mosquito Loop at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore!
