"Curiosity killed the cat"

"Curiosity killed the cat"

or maybe it just made it cuter.
This is my roommates cat for the weekend. He rented out Milo for a week to see if he was up for the task to take care a a kitten. He started out timid but has lightened up a lot. He also caused some problem, bringing fleas to the apartment and waking us up at the crack of dawn, but things have fixed themselves and he has become part of the apartment.... at least for the week.

Sorry for the weird composition. He's a cat, and moves, a lot.

I went for the left side focus shallow depth of field look and got what I wanted.

Dream

Dream

I got this shot as I was leaving from this mornings photoshoot. I was looking back at the sunrise just as it peaked over the huge cloud that blocked it from giving off much color this whole morning and decided to take a shot of it. I ended up liking this picture much more than the actual seascape. Sometimes, you just have to get lucky, and shoot what your brain tells you too shoot.
To all, its been a great winter break, and I'm glad I shot as many pictures as I did this break. Due to my school schedule this semester, I will not be able to take many pictures, but I will try to take as many quality shots as I can with the time given. I think all of you for looking at my pictures and giving me all feedback. It really does help.

Shot with:
D80(Shot with the D80 because it has a lower iso so it makes for a better long exposure)
18-55mm
.9 ND filter
Bulb
f/22

A New Beginning

A New Beginning

The story behind this photo goes as follows:
Its New Years day at 5:20 and I'm traveling looking for a place to do some seascapes.
I was planning on doing them an Phipps Park, but somehow I missed it. I then decided I would just go to Palm Beach and do it but once at Palm Beach, It was still 40 minutes or so till sunrise so I decided to venture down the road to see if I could find another beach. 2 dead ends and a couple of u turns later, I wound up back at Palm Beach. I didn't stay for full sunrise but it was quite a lovely setting. Around 64 degrees, not too windy, and just a nice warm feeling to this picture. Hope everyone had a good New Years.

Not sure why the rocks look fuzzy. It may have been condensation on my lens or something. Sorry about that
