Katyn Anniversary, Krakow

April 13th is the anniversary of the day in 1943 that the Nazis released news of the discovery of bodies of Polish officers in the woods near Katyn, Poland. The mass graves were the site where over 20,000 Polish officers had been murdered by the Soviets in 1940, in what became known as the Katyn Massacre.
