The Best Color, Kuta Lombok Indonesia

It's a unique moment, sea water level so low, you can see the seaweed, all coral and small fish in the bottom of the sea, it happen only 6 days a year. Location : Lombok Kuta Beach Indonesia Sunset.

It's not HDR or composite shot. Shot using 16-35mm + Gradual ND + Tripod + Cable Release.

I love the wide angle, and composition looks great. But I'm really curious as to how the rest of the sky looks =D Have to browse the rest of the photos to I guess. Colors look good. Only thing I might do is make the bottom right corner a bit darker since the other four corners are darker. Just a matter of my taste =) Great shot.

Great colours - especially if you havent done any digital trickery afterwards! For me the shot would benefit from being taken slightly further to the right to negate the effect of the large black landmass on the right.

Thanks for pointing out that it isn't HDR'd. It is rare to get this intense colour definition naturally, but when it does happen, it should be celebrated.

It's almost a pity that you had to go for such a long exposure - I can see the resultant blurring of the clouds, which is probably the only negative. Maybe you would have been better off going for a slightly higher ISO (50 is very low!); I can't see that you would have had any noise as a result. And the water is so still that you are not capturing any particular water motion with your long exposure.

But besides that, this is perfect. The composition is wonderfully balanced. the three layers of interest balance very nicely. And the natural features all create virtual lines radiating in to the hill which acts as an anchor for the whole. Fabulous.
