This abandoned building is on the periphery to downtown Beirut, in a very close proximity to the once famous Hotel District of Beirut before the civil war. The Hotel District was a site to the heaviest fights and battles throughout the civil war years (1975-1990). For that reason many left the area there and settled elsewhere, either left the country or went towards the suburbs. Until this day it’s very common to see some abandoned buildings scattered around the hotels that many were recently renovated .
It’s really a shame if history even dares to repeat itself!
Ain el Mriesseh... This is where my design workshop project is.... so I got like 100s of photos from there! :-))
