I still don't find this particularly great Pagination at all.
Here's what I don't get about all these (imo failed) attempts are making a decent pagination look & feel that so many sites are doing: what's so hard about it? To me, these are the basic rules:
- no underlines; small numbers in sequence don't need visual clutter, people get that page numbers are links, especially with a Previous/Next around it;
- large (visually identifiable) clickable areas. These tiny links are hard enough to click for someone without motor skill impairment, let alone someone with;
- make the current page clearly identifiable (Google got this down) but don't make it look out of place too much (the fact that the 2 is dropped down makes it fail; it should've popped up, retaining the baseline for legibility and grid alignment);
- provide enough spacing between page numbers to avoid accidental mis-clicking taking you to a wrong page;
Seriously… am I the only one thinking these are the basic rules? Pagination 101! Need I really create a blog post for this?
