Import Contacts and Invite | LinkedIn by factoryjoe.
Disappointed to see LinkedIn approach this problem is a less-secure way. Redesign fail.

It was bad previously:

LinkedIn: Expand your network

...but at least for some providers you didn't need to hand over your password to LinkedIn:

I'm also disappointed from LinkedIn password reset functionality... they let you to write long passwords (20+ characters), and once the old password is reset and the new password is saved, you are unable to login cause, seams the system only saves the first 16 characters....
when you do the login you'll get the error for invalid data, because youre trying to access with the new long and strong password.

If you type in a @yahoo.com email address, the password field will disappear, so this is a UX win.

They're still using BBAuth though. Dunno why, but people seem to prefer it over OAuth. Go figure.

no, its a own domain name email..

the problem was that:
the different character limit in each form
and that there is not info about the maximum length or limit for the password in the reset form
