Socialite - Enter PIN

Socialite - Enter PIN by factoryjoe.
The problem with this design is that it obscures/hides the URL bar — so is this PIN coming from Twitter or some rogue website? Well, we have no idea! FAIL!

This PIN should be seen in the user's BROWSER — not the app itself.

This is completely wrong, I'll agree. Having said that, the OAuth 1.0a flow for non-web stuff is now so completely complex and unusable, I'm surprised people aren't returning to typing in user names and passwords.

Yeah, I'm sympathetic to that view.

My understanding is that OAuth 2.0 is separating out the desktop from web from mobile flows — as we had with the first attempt at OAuth.

Apparently context matters when it comes to design. Go figure.
