It would of course be an excellent device for playing movies.

To take full advantage of Flickr, you should use a JavaScript-enabled browser and
install the latest version of the Macromedia Flash Player.

Considering that I use my iPhone more to watch video (lynda.com video podcasts), television programmes and films than I do to actually make phone calls, this is seriously mouth-watering. I so hope that something like this is in the works.
