Star Tower - Evan Zodl
Designed and folded June 2012. Folded from an octagon cut from a 35cm x 35cm sheet of tant.
This model is what originally inspired me to design my Logarithmic Spiral.
I have been working on this design for the past week or so, and I have to say that I am quite satisfied with the result. This is another fractal design where the concentric stars can be repeated forever (or at least until the paper becomes too small to work with). The neat thing about this model is that is that the layers can be separated to make the model 3-dimensional (almost like the Flower Tower). I have also been working on some simple variations of this model, so there are more pictures soon to come! I hope you like it!
If there is enough interest in this design, I would consider posting the CP or even making diagrams for this model. Please let me know what you think! All comments and name suggestions are greatly appreciated! :D
