As we look out from Cave 3 to the outside you can see a sliver of the green lake and the township of Badami with a a perspective of the sculpted panel of King Bali and his courtiers including a female figure sculpted with consummate finesse in the round full breasted mould of temple architecture that seems to have always been in vogue.

Cave 3 is supposed to have been made in the 6th century and is dedicated to various incarnations of Vishnu, the Hindu God.
