Flickr Love (Week Nine of Fifty-Two)![]() Auzigog.com
View my other 52 Weeks self portraits. This photo: I started with the idea of doing a silhouette of a heart. Once I got the snoots and gels out, I realized I had accidentally created the flickr logo. I added the text in photoshop for the heck of it. The flickr logo used to say "loves you" right above the actual logo itself. Seems like they recently took that away. I suppose this is a tribute. :) This week: Sustainability. Sustainability. Sustainability. I went to a book reading on Thursday for The Power of Sustainable Thinking. It's about how to spur social change and it gives a really interesting model to explain how people's opinion changes and what you need to do at each stage to encourage the process. This book landed in my lap at the perfect time. All my various areas of interests had converged on the idea that social change is more important than any one thing you can do for the environment and this book explains exactly how to do that! Spent all day on Friday at a symposium on renewable energy law. The main thing I took from that event was that a carbon tax seems like a better system than cap and trade. The week after next I'm going to the OUS sustainability conference. Sustainability overdose!
