tiny treasure

tiny treasure by Seeing Is.
We found this tiny sugary flower on a rocky beach - see how it is barely bigger than a fingernail! Apparently it's a Long-leaved Bluet (or Long-leaved Houstonia).

It sure is tiny! Maybe a woodland bluet? They look kindof like that. Very nice macro shot

DSutherland - If only my guidebooks were more complete! Your guess helped a lot, although now that I've done some digging around on the internet, I'm inclined to think it's a "Long-leaved bluet" (Houstonia longifolia). Thanks for your help!
