This is a three exposure handheld HDR. I worked really hard to “correct” the exposure using HDR but in the end felt it had much better depth and interest by letting the shadows and highlights (mostly shadows though) do their thing. Nothing special on the processing… added “authentic” film grain in post – for no particular reason I guess. Oh and some lens distortion correction...
Two errors that I made with this photo - one - I shot it at f/2.8 on
accident and two I didn't quite center the shot up, which is all the
more noticeable given it is ultra wide. I guess that's what happens
when you're rushing to make a early morning ADR with a seven year old
and two ten year olds rushing you along...
