Disney - Magic Music Mayhem 2

...as seen from the Main Street Train Station. I attended the Pirate & Princess Party at the Magic Kingdom, which is a hard ticket event that runs from 7:00pm to 12:00am. Featured in the Pirate & Princess Party is the Magic, Music, Mayhem fireworks display, which was an excellent show. This photo was the last that I took of the fireworks - and I think it's the one that turned out best. One of the things I wanted to try to accomplish on this trip was to capture some good fireworks shots - well... unfortunately, it took me until the very end to really get it figured out. I used a 10 second exposure on this shot...

Thanks everyone... avolluz65 - yeah I agree about the flagpole. I thought about cropping it out - but I like the wide angle on this one. If there were no fireworks to the left it would be a no brainer though.

Thanks Andy. This series from the P&P party was really my first attempt at fireworks. I found that between 6sec and 10sec exposure seems to work the best to get that dramatic fireworks burst. Now that I know this, next time I'll set shutter priority to between six and ten, ISO200 and shoot away... of course tripod is a must :^)

Wonderful capture! Every time I try the Gorillapod-on-a-railing trick, some little kids end up shaking the railing, making me want to whack them with my camera. (But I wouldn't do that - don't want to damage the camera, LOL!)
