The West Span - Bay Bridge , San Francisco California

The West Span - Bay Bridge , San Francisco California

Finally Friday!!!!

(L) For LARGE

So I dont really shoot night shots or long exposures so this is a whole new realm for me. I learned alot trying to take this shot...Had a few boats ruin exposures and a helicopter...then a guy jogging tripped on my tripod and almost toppled himself over and my tripod. It was a great night tho, I took this then went all around taking random SF night shots. =) I haven't been here much since I moved out to Discovery Bay and it reminded me how much I love the City. A big thanks to everyone for showing me photography has such a huge range of techniques and styles. I've seen tons of amazing work here on Flickr which has really inspired me to push my self to go out of my comfort zone. Thank you all so much!

Shot : Nikon D90

Hope You Enjoy It And Thank You As Always For Your Time!

Have A Great Weekend!

No Outlet , Brentwood California

No Outlet , Brentwood California

Thanks For All The Support Flickr!

I shot this last week on my way home. Im always taking new roads home looking for locations and generally causing mild traffic jams behind me. =). I must admit the amount of no trespassing signs and no stopping anytime signs really hold little to no meaning to me anymore LOL. They should read things like "Excellent Shots Beyond This Point" or "Pull Over Here And Stop For A Fantastic View" =). So This shot is in ways a homage to all the wonderful signs so carefully placed through rolling hillsides and breathtaking vista's I've so blatantly ignored lately =)

Slik Tripod

Grace Cathedral - San Francisco California (HDR)

Grace Cathedral - San Francisco California (HDR)

So I Was Planning On Posting An HDR I Took Last Night But Decided On Uploading Another Shot To My San Francisco Set Instead. I'm Like Eons Behind In Processing....

So This Shot Was Taken At Grace Cathedral In San Francisco. Its MASSIVE. You Could Seriously Spend 1/2 A Day Here Taking Shots. I Just Kinda Picked This One Out Of A Hat Because Its A Different Perspective Of The Church. The Stained Glass In Here Is Awe Inspiring. I Loved How The Huge Round Window Channels The Light To The Speaker. Felt Very Awesome To Stand Here And Take It All In.

To Give U An Idea Of The Scale Of This Place If You View This LARGE U Can See People On The Balcony Doing Renovations. Crazy.

The Shot :
Nikon D90
Sigma 10-20
Hopping Behind A Rope (Imma Sinner)
Shot From A Cheapo But Light Dynex Tripod
Shot This Using A Remote So I Wouldn't Have To Risk Movement In The Long Exposures.
Also Shutter Delay (Aka Cheapo Nikon Mirror Lock-up)

Processing - 3 Raw's, Manual Noise Reduction And WB Set In Camera Raw. Photomatix For The Tone Map, Then Masks All Over the place And Dodge And Burns. I Dont Really Shoot Interiors So It Was Kinda Fun To Have Alot Of Different Elements...Something I Noticed Was The Color Profile Was Adobe RGB Again, GRRR. I Guess When I Reduce Noise First In Camera Raw It Assigns The Adobe 1998 Color Profile To The Images. The Easiest Way To Preserve Those Colors Is If You CTRL+A , CTRL+C The Image, Assign Profile srgb , New Layer CTRL+V. Then Your Working In SRGB But Haven't Lost Your Color. (I Didnt Know This Cuz Imma Noob Just Figured It Out)

Anyways I Know That Was The Longest Disc In The History Of Flicker So If Your Reading This, Thank You =)

Have A Great Weekend Flickr!!!!!

Walkway To The Sun, Discovery Bay California

Walkway To The Sun, Discovery Bay California

Shooting In Stadiums And Trolly's Is Fun But This Is Were I Like To Do My Thing. Fresh Off The World Series Crazyness I Went Down To The Marina For A Killer Sunset. I Go Down Here All The Time To Shoot And Usually When There's Clouds You Get No Reflections Because The Wind Blows Out The Water Or Boats Returning Home Wake It Out. Tonight However The Conditions Were Pretty Good. This Isn't HDR , Just A Polarizer And A .9 Grad. I Haven't Been Using Filters Very Much Since For 1 I'm Lazy And 2 My Trusty Rubber Band Holder Was Lost Some Time Ago. Finally Picked Up A Lee Grad Holder So I Ran Around Today Playing With It Like A Little Kid =) I Also Took Some Braketed Shots That I'll Be Posting Tomorrow.

Shot :
Nikon D90 Handheld (Raw)
Sigma 10-20
Lee Hard .9 Grad
Polarizer

Hope You Enjoy It And Thanks For Looking!!!!

PS: Happy Birthday Mom =)
