8th US Army - Korea
Members of the Army's First Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 25th Infantry Division, 1st Battalion 24th Infantry Regiment, Charlie Company from Fort Wainwright, Alaska boards a C-17 Globemaster III for their departure for their deployment to the Republic of Korea in support of the Foal Eagle exercise. It is the first time the USAF and US Army in Alaska has used joint assets to project combat power protection out of Alaska. The C-17 Globemaster III and its crew members are from the 517th Airlift Squadron, Elmendorf AFB, Alaska.
