Snowstorm in Huangshan

As photography goes, I consider myself to be quite lucky... so often I seem to find myself in the right place at the right time to capture some special moments.

Unfortunately, my recent trip to China broke the pattern. After weeks of plotting and planning what was supposed to be the perfect trip to the Yellow Mountains (Huangshan) mother nature had something else in mind... a week of snow and fog so thick that at times i could barely see the treacherous path carved into the mountains in front of me (not to mention the fact that I was so cold i could barely hold the camera, let alone capture a clear shot from all of my shivering).

I did manage to capture a few ominous scenes from this spectacular place (and ran into a whole family of stump-tailed macaques which made the entire trip worth it) but this place will definitely require a return trip to do it justice... so I'll have to go back. What a shame. :)
