Denver Airport Under Snow

On a flight from San Francisco to Washington, I flew directly over Denver which was snowed in after the recent snowstorm there. I had a great view of the airport, so I took this shot.

Mo.murrey then enhanced it here with a side by side comparison shot without snow from Google Earth.

Likewise, (arrived here via NewsNow Current Affairs US and BB), and I'd LOVE to see the full resolution. (There must be a lot of snow covered planes at gates down there. ) You could certainly sell it... maybe that's why you are teasing us? Thanks and Happy Holidays.

I'm sorry for those stranded but this photo is cool and I could not resist myself from submitting to Digg

Oh should have remembered...TONS of folks over at www.airliners.net/ (including aviation professionals) would go ga'ga over this too. You yourself might also benefit from posting it on that reputable site too. Good luck!

This is sweet. I wish I had this snow in Saint Paul.

Replaced with the full-res version; good idea Ideation5. I couldn't see any plane outlines under the snow though, sadly. I also updated the license to make it shareable.

The area around Concourses A, and B, look fairly clear. Concourse C and the parking lots around the Jeppesen terminal less so. For those that have never been to DIA; no planes come to the main terminal, only to the concourses. Concourse A can be reached by the train and pedestrian bridge from the main terminal. Concourse B, and C only by the underground train. Maybe you could use the add a note feature to point out where the different areas are.

mo.murrey, great before and after remix - thanks for putting the shot in perspective. (I used a Creative Commons license for this photo to make this sort of thing possible - nice job!)
