Todays haul

Shaggy parasols
Deceivers
Common puffbals
Amethyst Deceivers
Some kind of Bolete -
Maybe a Bay bolete? It has yellow tubes and a velvety brown cap. Brown/yellow stem no colour change on slicing.
Todays haul by exmonkey.
Went out for a quick walk in my local wood. I certainly wasn't expecting this amount of mushrooms, especially after the frosts. I am especially looking forward to eating the deceivers.

Any recipes appreciated

so called because they can look like something else. Cars maybe.

My favourite names for poisonous mushrooms are:
Funeral bell
Poison Pies
Deadly fibrercap and
The Sickener

Did you like the deceivers? I ate some Amethyst Deceivers recently and they were very bland (but very purple :-)

Yeah, not much flavour there. But they helped bulk out a soup, and made it a nice purple colour :)
