Mount McLoughlin is the biggest mountain in our neighborhood (9495 ft). Well, Mount Shasta (14,179 ft) is only an hour away - but it is in California. On my way home I drove to the Mount McLoughlin trail head - there were sixteen vehicles parked there so there probably thirty or forty people up there today!
