At least the building, or part of it, is still there. Where I grew up there was an excellent cinema. A huge, wonderful building. But when it closed down and developers bought it (and discovered they couldn't get permission to do what they wanted) there was a mysterious fire.

I love the Coronet, one of the very few places in London you can get a round in for 5 people on a fiver... oh and they sell that swedish cider!

I´m so glad to find the excellent canopy without cover and show us the clean looking of the original odeon, I guess?
As you know many maquees former Odeon cinemas in London are cover by the ugly panels (usually the converted bingos).
