The European Parliament unveils a selection of some of t he most stunning works from its art collection for public viewing at the Parlamentarium.
From 16 August to 31 October 2012, the Parlamentarium, the European Parliament’s Visitors’ Centre in Brussels, hosts ART@EUROPARL , a new temporary exhibition. Curated by Brussels gallery owner Antonio Nardone, the exhibition is entirely free and has been designed so that people can discover or rediscover the great movements in European modern art through unique works representing the heritage of the European Union’s 27 Member States.
Whether Scandinavian, Mediterranean or Slavic, each European contemporary work of art embodies the common heritage of the great artistic movements that have swept across the continent since prehistoric times, making the work both unique and recognisable among thousands of pieces from Africa, Asia and elsewhere.
