      a compliment to the designer of the logo: I love the fact that they did not feel forced to use 12 stars in a circle as on the EU flag but rather choose to take elements and sample and design around it.
      Just 1 big star, outlined and the in the middle.
      This is exactly what is needed to establish a recognizable EU-visual language; the EU flag as basis should evolve and generate spin offs. (think of how Nike's logo changed from the Swoosh with the text "Nike" in the '70s to today: a highly stylized swoosh with no text. And everybody knows its the logo of Nike).
      The same thing is going to happen with the EU flag's design.
      Very nice to see that this logo as one of the first spin offs based upon the EU flag -- but not a 1:1 copy.
      Mind you this is tricky work, eg the USA flag is much easier as it has more design elements to play with: the stars and striped are much easier to create spin offs from.
      But eventually overtime it will work with the EU flag aswell -- it just needs time to evolve.
