LEGO 7991 alternate MOC: Office Desk

LEGO 7991 alternate MOC: Office Desk by .eti.
large

Yesterday, I bought LEGO's Recycle truck set because it was on offer in a big department store.

Today I decided to make an alternate model with the elements in the set, and came up with this office desk.

The good thing about forcing yourself to only use bricks from one set is that you have to get creative because the elements you'd normally use aren't there...

Keyboard, mousepad with mouse, and screen

The powerful PC is cleverly positioned under the desk.

The PC has all sorts of hookups and plugs in the back.

The printer stands on a separate unit.

Actually, this is a printer, a copier and a fax machine in one. Those machines are so clever nowadays.

The seat is very comfortable for working...

...and for relaxing, because it is adjustable, of course.

There is enough room for paperwork in the big file cabinet under the desk. The little one on the desk is for incoming and outgoing mail. You can also see the dect phone on the desk.

The lamp and the little filing cabinet are mounted on the back of the desk.

And, as any office worker knows, the most important thing is that nice cup of coffee!

This is how Legos are meant to be. It almost seems these days the parts and builds are just getting too specialized.

I certainly agree that Lego is timelessly cool...and what you've done with it is wondrous, which is also what it's all about...using the old noggin to 'make' things.

love it!

Very inventive and all the stuff other people have already said.
Boy, I've had my eye on that set for awhile, but now I think I have to buy it just for all the parts!

I hope you don't mind but I grabbed this image and made it a desktop icon for my husbands PC. It's Ab-Fab... if you want an .ico file for yourself just contact me and I'll send one right out.
(Btw.. no commercial use here.. just learning to make icons for myself and knew my husband would like for his own.)
Makes me want to buy a set to challenge myself without a computer, and I'm 32 yrs old, lol.
