My best friend and I got matching tattoos to celebrate our 10 year best-friendship. The symbol means friendship, and then it just happened to look like and L and an S intertwined (the first letters of our names)!

Well, we met when we were 18 and have been friends ever since, so I guess that's a little different than if we had grown up together. We've been through a LOT together!

my best friend and i have been inseparable for 14 years now...
we've just decided to commemorate by doing the friendship tats...
after looking at lots...and I mean LOTS of different symbols, I came across yours when I googled friendship tats....

We've looked around and I just wanted the infinity tattoo & my friend ended up finding this one on your account. I thought it was funny when I looked it up because I wasn't expecting it to be on flickr. I've looked on flickr a couple of times and she doesn't even have an account so that was kind of a fail on my part.

@mrsb9473 The symbol is a variation of an angelic friendship symbol. Here is the link for the original symbol: www.languageofzibu.com/Tattoos.html. After looking at the symbol, we realized that with a little modification, we could make it look like a capital cursive L crossed with a swirly capital S. My name begins with L, hers with S. It just worked out perfectly.
I'm glad some of you have found inspiration! It's a great way to celebrate a best friendship.
