Two Pieces of U-534![]() ![]() Something a little bit different and experimental this time.
These are my first attempts at a HDR image - which is basically a composite of three differently exposed images merged into one, producing a final super-exopsed image. But you probably knew that. To be honest I've never been quite sure about the technique. Images can look... well, odd and fake. They can also look incredibly dramatic, and if done properly they don't have to be so strange looking. Personally I'm very happy with these two images. I think they more accurately represent what my eyes could see at the time - at least much better than a single exposure could. Certainly not bad for a first effort! I took plenty of other shots too, but I haven't had time to filter through them yet because I was shooting in RAW. CommentsJames Norton-Jones says:Nice picture. I really like the way my eye
was lead into the picture along the body of
the sub. Plus lighting was great too.
sixsixsith says:really top quality image. you have the drama
but it doesnt have that too fake look. good
stuff
astragalus says:Looks good - I like the way the warm eveing
light has picked out the detail in the 'guts'
of the sub.

Great first HDR :)
You'll get used to it - it really can lend itself to a picture I find. Drama being the main effect.
As for RAW's there some good software that helps your workflow out there - BreezeBrowser is the software I use for chugging through my RAW files. Then editing them in Capture One Pro. :)
