This is our Gothic town hall on the square in the middle of Mechelen, Belgium.
This building consists of 3 parts ( from left to right ) :
1. The Palace of the High Council, built in 1526, torn down later and
years later according to the original plans.
2. Belfort, built in the 14th century, the left part of it was torn down to make
place for the Palace of the High Council.
Gothic style with Barok elements from the 17th century.
3. Cloth Hall (Lakenhal), built in the 14th century, a fire in 1342 destroyed most of it
and it was changed dramatically during the rebuild.
Only the middle building (???) is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list.
All comments, criticism and tips for improvements are ( as always ) welcome.
