Her heart "pulsed" with fire, and then every couple of heartbeats her heart would engulf her entire body in flame, which you see now.

SYMBOLISM! Somehow. Probably.

Also, my highlight wasn't the statue, but the group of eight year old Asian cub scouts that would scream out "YAY" whenever her whole body caught fire. That entertained me.
