I think you hit the mark then, I totally see
it. The color is just so rich, and I mean
rich like a hot fudge sundae. This method of
coloring is dynamic yet strangely calming to
look at.

if i had 18 tons of Spice i would offer it as
payment for this series. im actually
listening to Scott Brick read the first book,
right now, the dune books need multiple reads
to get everything.

Dear Paul Pope, this is possibly one of the
coolest things I've ever seen. You continue
to amaze me at the similarities between our
two tastes such as that you like OMAC, the
Inhumans, Adam Strange and now Dune. I
recently made a list of my 25 favorite
current comics artists and you were number 1.
Looking forward to your new work.

I love the colour, particularly the sky. It
reminds me of those glass sand ornaments you
would get with different coloured layers of
sand..

Amazing PP! I love the Dune as well,
interesting how similar it can be to your THB
Marscape. Glad to see you put a hood on a
stillsuit, and finally an actual ornithopter!
Looking forward to more!

Interesting interpretation of the stillsuits,
Paul. I'm with Steiner from mars - I'd love
to see your take on the Guild Navigators.

I read DUNE when I was laid-up in bed for 6
months after a car accident and it helped me
escape the confines of my room. This is the
closest to my imagination any DUNE
illustration has come so far. Thank you, Mr.
Pope! Also, I bought Mr. Miracle #15 due to
your Jack Kirby inspirations on your blog and
I'm in love. Thank you again! Continue the
love.

I agree with everyone, this has to become a
reality. I still haven't been able to read
dune, even though I watch almost everything
that comes out that is related to it. You
have made me finally get the books. I shall
read them with this page in my head.

Hi Paul, don't mean to play devil's advocate
but you the apostrophe's in the wrong spot.
Should be Muad'Dib. I love this comic,
though. And it's perfect regardless.

beautiful!
the composition, the empty space, and the
frozen time feel reminds me of le monde
d'edena, as well as the use of color but with
a less saturated balance that i prefer...
more organic (goes even better with the
grayscale scan of the inks)
works great as a single page anecdote!
very well put together overall!
very inspiring!
wish there's more of these soon!
