MACHU PICCHU
Machu Picchu is an architecturalmarvel located 8,000 ft above sea level. Often referred to as "The Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu was constructed around 1462, at the height of the Inca Empire.

I have studied this fortress/ city/ enclave since near the time it was brought into prominence by a NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC cover spread and article when I was in high school. And I love Neruda's long poem.
The line quality here is robust and fearless, with the brush virtuosity I expect from you. I also like the spotting of darks and the subdued addition of tone.
