Ouch!

Ouch! by Erik Charlton.
X-ray of a broken little toe. A few days after Christmas, my niece was walking down the hall and accidentally kicked the leg of a bench. OUCH! My brother in-law relocated it and she was off to the hospital for this x-ray. Later she said, "The break was not that painful, the "relocation part" (before this x-ray) was!!! Ahhhhh...OUCH!

ok ok to all - if that happens to you and you are cool enough you have 30 seconds to put the toe back the way it was before and tape it in place

chances are very high the doc does not have to move it anymore and during those 30 seconds there is hardly any pain (adrenalin - slight shock)

If he still has to correct it you did not loose anything
(happend to my wife on a jetty - she stubled over a cleat and her toe was 90 deg off center - she was so shocked that she put it back and i got some e tape out of my toolbox and taped it up - no problems after)

Ah, yes, proving the adage:

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE: WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE.
IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40.
IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

...so the "relocation" was done BEFORE this Xray was taken? then it looks like the "relocation" attempt failed...
great view, though... here's to doc-ordered rest!

Mac218 --> The doctor who took the x-ray asked how it was so badly broken, but not dislocated. My brother in-law, David, explained that he relocated it a few minutes after it happened. Surprised the doctor asked “Are you a EMT?” David replied, “Naw, I just get hurt a lot.” =)
