Koi - It's What's For Dinner

Yesterday i took my son to the Japanese Gardens in Seattle and this very opportunistic heron found its way to the Koi pond. It was kind of sad to see a beautiful Koi fish speared like that, but I guess that is how Nature works.

Priceless shot! I love blue herons and the look of fear on that fish's face.

Wonderful shot. The background's not distracting at all - I think it works fine with this.

The expressions on the bird and fish make it priceless.

Very cool snap, we have Koi in our backyard and we always have to watch out for them now, Koi are way too expensive to serve as food for those Heron's.
