Baby Boa

    Newer Older

A few weeks back, I went to Howe Park for my lunch break. When I got there, I found a guy with an ice chest full of reptiles. He had 3 snakes and 2 lizards. He took them out and put them in the children's sandbox - and as you can imagine, it drew quite a crowd.

I took quite a few pictures of this guy and his 2 friends...let me know if you want to see more. This one, I think it is a Boa, eventually slithered over to me, up my leg and onto my camera bag...it was pretty cool.

His tongue is not in focus, but I still like the fact that I caught it out. I had to be pretty close with my 50mm to get this, but luckily I had my 55-200mm with me, so I was also able to get other close-ups without having to be this close-up :D

    HNNF!

Hi, I'm an admin for a group called PicturePerfect (INVITE ONLY), and we'd love to have this added to the group!

I would not want to hold him : ) I usually let someone else hold them and "I" merely take the picture. What an encounter in a sandbox! : ) Great picture!
