Sacramento River Headwaters (Neverland)

Sacramento River Headwaters (Neverland)

Big Springs Creek which is considered the headwaters for the Sacramento River. Mount Shasta, CA ©2012

A new one from the #shastaplus2012 photowalk. The group had broken off for lunch and I decided to eat at this park in Mount Shasta that is the home of Big Springs Creek. A gushing spring that is actually considered the headwaters for the mighty Sacramento River.

I had felt like I stepped into a fantasy novel. The way the paths cut through the lush landscape, I expected to see fairies playing in the reeds and playing hide and see with some elves. I love paths, they really get my imagination going for some reason. I hope everyone had a great weekend, I sure did.
