I went up to the state capitol today, figuring there would be something to photograph. For those who don't know, Michigan is on the verge of shutting down the state government. It has come to this point because the state government cannot agree on passing a balanced budget. Partisan politics has become so deeply entrenched that the representatives will not set aside their bickering, even when it comes down to potential economic ruin.
Strangely enough there was just this one woman, protesting silently in an appeal to raise our taxes and continue essential services. I have to agree with her - the time has passed for partisan attacks. Cut spending, increase revenue, and be done with it.

I agree with you, and her. Michigan is such deep doodoo, cutting alone doesn't seem to cut it.

I think I read a creepy story once about someone who kept amputating parts of their body for some reason.
It didn't work.
