Its 2AM, I'm gonna make this short. :)

Taken off of Mulholland Drive. The very end of the Griffith Park fire. 05/09/07. About 12AM. You can see Hollywood on the right and The Observatory in the Middle.

Great vantage point -- I shot a couple around 10pm from west LA. Didn't have my tripod with me and was shooting from a fifth floor deck. Had to stack a couple of small tables on top of each other and hope for the best.

I know it's a terrible fire, but this is one of those sorts of shots that just encapsulates what happens. I can imagine people looking at it a few years from now and going 'oh yeah...I remember...'
