Pag-Uwi
View On Black
Pag-uwi, literally translate to "going home" in Tagalog. The script in the picture is actually a song by Filipino singer, Martin Nievera. It's a beautiful, haunting song about longing to one's roots particularly one's country of origin. Many OFW"s,expatriates, and Filipino immigrants all over the world can relate to this. The pain of leaving loved ones to live in a land that so far different from their own for a promise of a better life for their families. It has earned them the esteemed title,"bagong bayani", or new hero, back home. In the end the love for one's country still permeates even with the assimilation of the different cultures and mores while living abroad. You always go back home no matter what the circumstances might be. Check this video. www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFCj7X1fOOw&feature=player_em... I've used this image more than once on my stream. It migh look familiar to some. This is one of my favorite shots I've done. CommentsPinoyChicago
