2008 Join the Impact Marriage Equality Protest

Though the weather was warm, it was also very wet, but that didn't stop thousands of people from participating in a march from the Capitol Reflecting Pool to Lafayette Square Park. The route went down the Mall and around the Washington Monument and then headed toward the park.

I'm not good at estimating crowds, but it seemed like a few thousand people to me. The response from pedestrians and people passing in cars was overwhelmingly positive!
