brings back memories. used to walk by this building every day. took them 8 years to build. can you IMAGINE someone taking 8 years to build something nowadays? (without running out of money.)

Sure. Boston's Big Dig took something like 16 years, and NYC Water Tunnel #3 started in 1970 and won't be complete until 2020.
