Fray Juan de San Miguel

En el corazón de la ciudad está la estatua dedicada al monje franciscano que fundó esta ciudad.

Fray Juan de San Miguel llamó al lugar San Miguel el Grande, y el Allende se añadió mucho después, como homenaje al héroe insurgente Ignacio Allende.

In the heart of the city you'll find a statue in honor of the Franciscan monk that founded the city.

Fray Juan de San Miguel called the place "San Miguel el Grande", getting the "Allende" much later, in honor of independence hero Ignacio Allende.
