      Very nice, though I think the "fermentation" tag might not be quite appropriate, as wine/champs isn't supposed to ferment in the bottle from all I know. But I'm being a smartypants, your photo is great!

      To Kersy83: According to wikipedia://champagne

      The blended wine is put in bottles along with yeast and a small amount of sugar, called the liqueur de tirage, and stored in a wine cellar horizontally

      And I would add that non-sparkling wine (red and white) is indeed fermented is wooden barels. You're right.
      But Champagne is done in each bottle since the beginning. That's a ant job actually, that have to rotate slowly bottles every month handly ! That would explain a little bit why it's so expensive despite the fact it's a "luxury" drink.
