I like how you got some smoke visible in
addition to your flame. I'm guessing you
must have had some other light source
involved. When I tried this, I was shooting
the matches in a nearly-dark environment
(mostly to avoid a cluttered background).

As the tutorial explains, in order to
illuminate the matches, you need a flash, and
that's the only other light.
I also took these on a nearly-dark
environment. There was a black backboard
hiding the clutter behind the matches...
