I haven't been around for a while, you can find me on tumblr, or facebook though... but I felt like posting this photograph I took last year on one of the demonstrations we had in Barcelona against all the changes made by the government to fix the crisis problems. Since then we changed the government and it gone worse and worse. Yesterday they announced they'd raise University taxes, after announcing they were firing many teachers and adding more children to each class. I was proud of the education system we had some years ago and although they ruined it a little bit in my generation it wasn't that bad. Now they are destroying the pillars of a society without even noticing, because all the changes they are doing now (though they must need to see a result soon, in terms of money) are affecting our future and the future of our kids. My students, teens, will have it more difficult to go to University in a few years and kids like this baby here... I don't even know what kind of education they'll have. What I can tell is that all these kids (most of them and the one in the photo for sure) will get an emotional and fair education, teaching them to be critic and to think by themselves.... Hope they are able to see that and study on their own because education is all we got.
