[365/13] lifestory of a dog

let me tell you a little something about this dog of ours.. bobby.. he's a keeshond - it's a dutch breed.

he came to my family the year after we had a fire in our house, 1997. he was born on may 19th, 1998 and after eight weeks he came home. the first nights my sister had to sleep on the floor with him to keep him company, otherwise he'd owl all night which resulted in a sleepless night for all of us.

as a pup this dog was so unbelivably and utterly cute, these dogs fur, when they are puppies, are incredibly soft and it's like you can fall asleep in it right away! of course as any pup, are they ever still?! lol nooooo. always on the move to some place new in the house, sniffing, peeing, pooping....

speaking of peeing... this lovely dog peed in my hair as a pup. i forgave him. he was only a pup! lol, it's something i look back at now and laugh at.

as most dogs bobby also shares the freight for thunder - as do i. he doesn't like shots or anything that's loud like fireworks. i remember last year at new years eve he peed in my room - twice. and on my carpet!

another thing bobby likes is lady dogs.... esp sallie. she can be out of her heat period, and yet he has crush on her that seems to last for an eternity. and sallie doesn't seem to mind either so much. except for now after she moved out of the house and comes back to visit with siz. understandable! haha well bobby keeps trying to confess his love for her...

bobby's most lovable (ahem) habit is to escape from the house. our town knows this dog of ours, sometimes they call cause they've seen him on the run, and sometimes we haven't even noticed him running away! lol now we know his tricks and well he opens the door - but actually that's a habit that have ran out with time. he crawls under the fence, crawls under the balcony, and opens the fence doors, he finds a way to get out of the garden! so now we just never leave him alone there, but mistakes happen so today he ran off again haha. i left him in the garden for a few mins and when i got out again he was just in the crime act and when he saw me seeing him he really pulled one off on me! that dog can be so bad sometimes ..... and yet we love him. !!

this dog of ours.. has his adventures.. but age is taking a good stab at him. i'll always love this dog.. he's a part of our family and i grew up with him. i remember when i was little i was sad, he came to me and his eyes were looking at me as if they were asking me how i was doing... in his doggy way he was trying to comfort me.

he sleeps on the footside of my bed every night for a few months now.. i'll miss him greatly when he's gone..

treasure every moment with your buddy - being a dog, cat or any other animal! you just never know when they might not be there the next day.
